1. What RedBuffed is

RedBuffed ("the Service") is an experimental analytics tool that correlates your League of Legends match data (fetched from the public Riot Games API) with menstrual cycle phase data you provide (manually or via a connected period-tracking app). The Service is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using RedBuffed you confirm you meet this age requirement and that you accept these Terms.

3. Account & verification

We verify Riot account ownership via the public Riot API icon-swap method. We do not collect your Riot password or any Riot login credential. You are responsible for keeping your device and session token secure. If your Riot account is compromised (hacked) or shared with a third party, anyone with access to it can also act on your RedBuffed account, including deleting your data. RedBuffed is not responsible for any actions taken via a Riot account whose security has been compromised or voluntarily shared by the user.

4. Your data, your control

Cycle phase dates you submit are encrypted at rest with a per-user derived key. You may delete your account at any time from the user menu, which permanently and irreversibly erases your account, your cycle entries, your match data, and your active sessions.

5. Beta status & accuracy

RedBuffed is in beta. Insights are based on a pilot study (267 ranked games, 3 players) and your own data; correlations are suggestive, not proven science. The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Output is not medical advice and must not be used to make medical, contraceptive, or health decisions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) reverse-engineer or scrape the Service, (b) submit data on behalf of another person without their explicit consent, (c) use the Service to harass, dox, or shame any player, (d) circumvent rate limits or the Riot API terms, (e) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Research contribution (opt-in)

With your explicit opt-in, anonymized aggregate statistics may be contributed to academic research. No personal identifier is shared. You may opt out at any time; account deletion revokes all future use of your data and removes you from active research datasets.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, RedBuffed and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to ranked-queue losses, tilt, or hormonal misinterpretation.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in-app before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
