What exactly is RedBuffed?

RedBuffed is a performance analytics tool for women playing League of Legends. It cross-references your Riot match data (winrate, KDA, aggression, champion performance) with your menstrual cycle phases to surface patterns that standard stats never show.

Is it free?

Yes. RedBuffed is free.

Is this a medical app?

No. RedBuffed is a performance analytics tool, not a medical tool. Results should not guide health, contraceptive, or medical decisions.

Is my cycle data secure?

Yes. Personal data (like your cycle dates) is fully encrypted. We never sell or share your data.

How do I sync my cycle?

You can enter phase dates manually, or connect a tracking app (Flo, Clue, Apple Health, Google Fit, Period Tracker) from your profile settings.

Which servers does it support?

RedBuffed works with all Riot servers: EUW, EUNE, NA, KR, BR, LAN, LAS, OCE, JP, RU, TR, PH, SG, TH, TW, VN. Just enter your full Riot ID with tag (#EUW1 for example).

How many games do I need before seeing results?

We recommend at least 20–30 games spread over two full cycles for correlations to be meaningful. The more you play, the sharper the patterns get.

What's the connection to academic research?

The tool is grounded in two bodies of work. Saskio's pilot study (267 ranked games, 5 players) shows a ~5.9% winrate delta between off-period and on-period phases, across 100% of players. Riley Dunn's PhD at Queensland University of Technology is the first formal academic work on the subject. With your opt-in, your anonymized stats can contribute to this kind of research.

How do I delete my account?

User menu → Settings → Delete account. Immediate and irreversible: all data (account, matches, cycle dates, sessions) is permanently erased.

Why "RedBuffed"?

In LoL, the Red Buff slows and weakens enemies. Here it's flipped: you get the Red Buff. A player who knows her own cycle plays with all her cards on the table.

Does it work for games other than LoL?

For now, yes — match data comes exclusively from Riot's public API for League of Legends (ranked and normal games). Other games may be added in the future.
